Brass Decorative Clock +
This is a real clock I designed and constructed.
Its aproximately 15" in diameter. The clock face
is solid brass powered by an electric quartz movement.
Probably the most difficult design challenge here
was striking the right balance between form and
function. The project also introduced me to some
rapid-prototyping technologies. In this case,
Chemical Photo Etching, which is how the brass
components were cut and engraved.

Atlas Moth +
Believe it or not, the actual moth I was working
from has an 8" wingspan. This digital
illustration is designed to be printed as a poster
and was built up from pencil sketches,
colored-pencil renderings, and lots and lots of
Photoshop work.

A Fun One +
Way back when, I was a software engineer at Chyron writing
code for their Liberty paint system. This is an illustration
I did to show off some of its features.

Natural Science Illustration +
Well, kinda. This image started out as a joke -
I intended to submit a pencil illustration of
Giger's alien to the Guild of Natural Science
Illustrators. But, alas, it was too boring. So,
I spiced it up with computer retouching, morphing
and color.

Morphing Is Evil +
This was a real workout for my computer, circa 1995. Its
actually the above illustration stretched, morphed, recolored
and retouched.
